Decreased cis-dimerization of nectin-1 by impairment of hydrogen bond formation. Nectin-1-L cells and nectin-1-4mut-L cells were dissociated to single-cell suspensions and incubated with or without a membrane impermeable cross-linker, BS3, for 15 min at 14 °C. The cells were lysed with the SDS sample buffer and subjected to SDS-PAGE followed by immunoblotting with the anti-nectin-1 pAb. The result shown is representative of three independent experiments. Quantification of the relative intensities of the 200-kDa bands in the presence of BS3 is shown in the right panel.
