Frequency distribution of coefficients of variation. Histogram shows the number of m/z features associated with coefficient of variation (CV) as obtained from analysis using automated noise level selection and separation, and smoothing-based feature alignment for peak selection18. Ten microliter samples from 4 individuals were analyzed by LC-FTMS with either 6 replicates (Subject 1) or 8 replicates (Subjects 2-4). Results show that most features have CV below 10%.
