A: Hybridization signals of the transcription factors bound to the −2926/+162 bp promoter fragment identified in nuclear extracts from liver of a 10-month-old WT and Hbb^th3/+ mouse. The TranSignal protein/DNA array I and III containing 54 and 94 transcription factors (Panomics. Fremont, CA) were tested in 2 different experiments. The transcription factors relevant to Abcc6 expression and showing a notable difference between the WT and Hbb^th3/+ liver extracts are indicated by a box. B: The transcription factors identified by the protein/DNA array as binding to the ABCC6 promoter region are indicated by a shaded background. No signal was noted for those factors shown with a white background.
