Table 1.

Various free energy components of the electron and proton transfer reactions of lumiflavin and NQO2-bound flavin (in parenthesis) in aqueous solution. The total reorganization energy was computed using eq. 7. All energies are given in kcal/mol. For λBorn, the optical and static dielectric constants used were 5.5 and 75.0, respectively. The statistical error was found to be 0.2–0.3 kcal/mol.
