H4 neuroglioma cells in 4-well chamber slides were treated with indicated amounts of bayberry extract from Herb Pharm (mixed suspension with ethanol, glycerol and water) for 24 hours, fixed and tau immunoreactivity was assessed using standard (as opposed to near-infrared) immunofluorescent microscopy.
