Substrates Z-Gly-Pro-Leu-Gly-Pro (A) and Z-Gly-Pro-Gly-Gly-Pro-Ala (B) were incubated with FhCL2 and FhCL3 for 15 min at pH 4.5 and the reactions were analysed by LC-MS/MS. The resulting peptide fragment masses (obs) that matched with y and b ions derived from theoretical fragmentation of the peptide substrates (exp) were used to map the FhCL2 and FhCL3 cleavage sites (arrows).
