Effects of ART on cell proliferation and morphological changes

(a) Human osteosarcoma HOS cells and human osteoblast hFOB1.19 cells were treated with various concentrations of ART for 24, 48, and 72 h, and the inhibition of cell growth was measured by MTT assay. Results are expressed as mean±SD of three independent experiments. (b) HOS cells were treated with 0, 20, 40, or 80 μmol/L ART for 48 h. Morphological changes were examined and photographed under a phase contrast microscope. (c) HOS cells were treated with or without 80 μmol/L ART for 48 h, stained with Hoechst 33258, and observed under a fluorescence microscope.
