Six-compartment model. Compartment 1 represents the blood with volume V1 and free peptide concentration X1. Compartment A represents the tissue type in which the tumors are transplanted. Compartment 2 represents the non-tumor tissue with volume V2 and free peptide concentration X2. Compartment 3 represents the positive-tumor with volume V3 and bound-peptide with concentration X3. Compartment 4 represents the negative-tumor with volume V4 and bound-peptide concentration X4. Compartment B represents an aggregate of all other tissues in the body. Compartment 5 represents this aggregate with volume V5 and free peptide concentration X5. Compartment 6 represents non-specific targets within this aggregate with volume V6 and bound-peptide concentration X6 (see text for discussion).
