EDTA treatment induces Notch1 proteolytic sensitivity. U2OS cells transiently transfected with the indicated Notch1 variants (wt, ΔEGF, or ΔEGFΔLNR) were treated with buffer containing either CaCl2 (2.5 mM) or EDTA (5 mM). Firefly luciferase reporter gene activity was measured relative to renilla luciferase as a control. All measurements were done in triplicate. Error bars represent standard deviation.
