Passive treatment using peptides as inhibitors of mammary tumor development in mouse VEGF−/+/Neu2-5−/+. Groups of six 4–10-week-old mice were treated once a week with intravenous injection of 500 μg of peptide (in PBS). Control represents no treatment. The data are presented as the average tumor size per group and are reported as mm3. Average of largest tumor volume was calculated as follows: (long measurement × short measurement2)/2. Statistical analysis demonstrates significance in the growth tumor rate in mice treated with VEGF-P3(CYC) (*, p value = 0.0074), Error bars represent mean ± S.E.
