Effects of combination treatment on cancer cell viability. BT474 cells were incubated with media alone, HER-2 peptide, VEGF peptides, trastuzumab, and irrelevant peptide. The number of viable cells remaining after 3 days was determined using the aCella-TOX reagent kit, and all instructions were done according to the manufacturer's instructions. Cell viability is expressed as a percentage of untreated cells. Data points represent the mean of three independent experiments. Error bars represent S.D. Results represent average of three different experiments. Statistical analysis was done using the random effect linear regression model, and * indicates p < 0.001 when compared with the untreated and ** indicates p < 0.001 when comparing single treatments to combination treatments.
