To better visualize the cytoplasmic accumulation of GFP-Nup49 foci (arrows), a maximum intensity projection (MIP) is shown. Note that in heh2Δ cells there are few cytoplasmic GFP-Nup49p foci and the NPCs appear clustered at the NE.
