Response of a blocked pipet to frequency of applied potential. A pipet filled with pH 7 phosphate buffer (10 mM with 100 mM KCl) was immersed into a bath of pH 7 Tris buffer (10 mM with 100 mM KCl) containing 2 μM zinc chloride. The pipet became blocked after constant potential of −500 mV for several minutes, and sinusoidal potential from 500 to −500 mV was applied at frequencies of 0.2, 0.5, 1, and 2 Hz.
