Sodium phenylbutyrate and sodium butyrate increased DJ-1 expression in mouse brain. A–C, adult C57BL/6 mice (ages 4–6 months old) were treated with PB or SB at different doses in drinking water for 2 weeks. Brain tissues (cortex) were used for Western blotting with DJ-1, α-synuclein, and β-actin antibodies.
