C-C hexasaccharides attenuate metastasis of B16-BL6 melanoma cells. (A) Mice were intravenously injected with 150 µg of STMCα,α or STMCα,β 10 minutes before injection of 3 x 105 B16-BL6 cells. Fourteen days after injection mice were killed, and the lungs were dissected and evaluated for the number of metastatic foci/lung. Statistical significance was determined by one-way ANOVA (P < .001).
