Effects of NPM1 gene silencing on the proliferation of K562 cells. A, Cells proliferation was determined by MTT assay. At 0 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h, the value of OD in the four groups was measured by absorbance at 490 nm. Treatment of K562 cells with pNPM1-shRNA resulted in growth inhibition in a time-dependent manner. Data were shown as means ± SD of triplicate experiments. *p<0.05. B, Proliferation potential of cells was determined by colony formation assay. The number of colonies in K562/pNPM1-shRNA cells was significantly reduced compared with the controls.
