NAC, a ROS scavenger, decreased intracelluar ROS generation, the loss of Δψ_m and sub-G1 peak ratio after HDB treatment. (A) Parental HL-60 cells were pretreated with 10 mM NAC for 1 h and treated with or without HDB for 12 h. Intracellular ROS was detected by flow cytometry measuring fluorescence of DCF. Δψ_m was detected by flow cytometry with measuring fluorescence of rhodamine 123. (B) The percentage of sub-G1 was measured by flow cytometry using PI staining. Data were representative of at least three experiments.
