After a baseline complete dental prophylaxis, 124 healthy adults used the mouthrinse as a supplement to regular oral hygiene for 6 months.	Both Listerine and Peridex significantly inhibited development of plaque by 36.1% and 50.3%, respectively, and the development of gingivitis by 35.9% and 3.0.5% respectively, compared to placebo. Chlorhexidine 0.12% Hydrogen Peroxide 1% Placebo	32 subjects ceased oral hygiene procedures, but rinsed, twice a day, with the designated mouthrinse for 21 days.
