MLST complexes 73 and 14 are indicated next to representative isolates from each group. Sequences from Escherichia clade 1 isolates that do not group with phylogenetic groups A, B1, and B2 (D) or the hybrid groups AxB and ABD were used to root the dendrogram (42).
