Cell-to-cell spread of ΔlemA mutant and wild-type L. monocytogenes. Monolayers of L2 fibroblasts in six-well dishes were infected with approximately 2.0 × 105 ΔlemA (A) or wild-type (B) L. monocytogenes for 3 days.
