Values are means of results of three experiments for ciprofloxacin transformation and four experiments for rifampin transformation. Values for the opa-1 and opa-4 groups are means for two separate isolates from the clusters. Twenty rifampin- and 20 ciprofloxacin-resistant transformants of each opa group (10 per strain) from each of the separate transformation experiments were opa typed and phenotyped.
