Table 3.

Outcome of multiple linear regressions for effect of preterm group (v. full-term group) on log 10 antibody titer.

Serotype Estimated adjusted difference in log 10 titer (95% CI)
2006–7 2007–8
H1 0.87 (−0.39, 2.14) 0.35 (−0.02, 0.72)
H3 0.10 (−1.07, 1.28) 0.31 (−0.07, 0.69)
B/Victoria 0.83 (−0.25, 1.92) 0.44 (−0.04, 0.92)
B/Yamagata −0.02 (−0.50, 0.46) 0.20 (−0.54, 0.93)

CI = confidence interval

Multiple linear regressions were fitted after controlling for postnatal age at vaccination, weight at vaccination and gender, none of which showed consistent effects on titers in the model. Positive numbers indicate higher titers in preterm group, and difference is considered statistically significant if 95% CI does not cross zero.
