Only three branches of traveling pulse trains are shown. The phase speed of the TW lies between the speeds of the fast and slow pulse trains. Solid (dashed) lines indicate stable (unstable) states. The accumulation of the saddle-nodes of the fast pulse trains (av ≈ 0.55) defines the upper boundary of the shaded region displayed in fig. 1. The pulse trains were computed in a comoving frame, on a periodic domain with L = 100.
