The two HSPC 30 mM liposome suspensions in pure water (right tube) and 150 mM NaNO3 salt (left tube). The two tubes were held at 4°C for extended periods; this image was obtained after 2 months. Whereas the pure water suspension is clear, the salt suspension shows marked sediment (which became visible after only 2 weeks).
