Comparison between gene expression profiles of mammary tumors and prostate tumors induced by MT expression. (A) Gene expression profiles demonstrate that both common and differential molecular mechanisms may drive tumor formation in a tissue-dependent manner. (B) Ingenuity Pathway analysis with genes common to breast and prostate cancers induced by MT suggests that AP1 (Jun/Fos) is one of the most significant factors in several canonical pathways. CP, canonical pathway. (C) Kaplan-Meier analyses of human breast and prostate cancers were conducted with genes consistently found to be differentially expressed in both mouse tissues.
