^a The specific ¹²⁵I-AII binding in the presence of competing ligands in each experiment was expressed as a percentage of the total specific binding measured (100%). The percentages of total specific binding activity presented are the means ± SEM from four independent experiments (mean total specific binding of ¹²⁵I-AII was 41.0 ± 16.0 fmol/mg protein). 

^b Differences in ¹²⁵I-AII binding between the four conditions were determined to be statistically significant by using the Tukey compromise post hoc test (p < 0.05).
