Ste6 stability in deletion mutants. (A) Ste6 half-life was determined in wild-type and in different deletion mutants by pulse-chase experiments. Cells were labeled with [³⁵S] Trans label for 15 min and were then chased with an excess of cold methionine and cysteine for the time intervals indicated. Ste6 was precipitated from cell extracts with polyclonal antibodies directed against Ste6. The strains were (from top to bottom) JD52 (wild-type), RKY1509 (Δmos10), RKY1590 (Δvps20), RKY1510 (Δsnf7), and RKY1511 (Δvps4). A background band unrelated to Ste6 is marked by an asterisk.
