Two regions of interest (ROIs) were selected for each section to evaluate the antioxidant effect of anthocyanin during the acute stage of SCI, The lesion periphery at 1.5 mm (A) and 3.0 mm (B) rostral from the epicenter reflect the lesion and normal area, respectively. The intensity of red fluorescence is measured using a VH image analyzer and the degrees of superoxide expression are represented by the ratio of red fluorescence in the two ROIs (A value divided by B value).
