Ligand-independent FGFR-3 signaling induces expression of Paneth cell markers of differentiation. HD5 (A) and HD6 (B) mRNA levels were determined in Caco2 cells expressing a constitutively active receptor construct, FGFR-3K650E, or the control vector pBOB. Cells were harvested for RNA at 48, 96, and 120 h postplating. Levels of mRNA were determined by quantitative real-time PCR and expressed relative to 18 S rRNA. Values are the mean ± S.D.
