Dysregulated neuronal firing patterns among populations of neurons. Long-timescale (60 s) spike rasters of four simultaneously recorded striatal neurons from WT and R6/2 mice. The horizontal lines above each raster define bursts. Arrows represent representative instances of coincident bursts in the WT raster. It is evident that population activity in WT mice is more phasic (more complex) and bursts are often temporally coherent across neurons relative to R6/2 mice.
