H3K4 global methylation is differentially affected by loss of SET-2 and ASH-2. The levels of histone H3K4me3 (A, C, and E) and H3K4me2 (B and D) were assayed using quantitative Western blots and normalized to levels of histone H3 and actin (Materials and Methods).
