Method of ALCS point filtration. (A) The ALCS points (black glyphs) are projected onto the plane of an ellipse best fit to the NCO delineations (green glyphs). (B) The NCO ellipse is scaled into unit circle space and subdivided into 100 regions of equal area. (C) Regions where two or more ALCS-delineated points are present in all four volumes in the sequence are maintained for analysis as shared regions. Regions where there are fewer than two delineated points (black glyphs, highlighted by black arrows) common to all four volumes in the sequence are filtered out of the analysis. (D) The circle is transformed back to elliptical space, with the shared ALCS points shown.
