VX-765 (12.5, 50, 100, 200 mg/kg) was injected intraperitoneally once a day for 3 consecutive days; on day 4, the drug was injected 45 minutes before kainic acid. Kainate (7 ng in 0.5 μl) was injected unilaterally in the left hippocampus in freely moving C57BL6 mice (n = 7–-12).
IL = interleukin.
*p < 0.05; †p < 0.01 versus vehicle-injected mice by one-way analysis of variance followed by Tukey’s post hoc test.
