106/ml PBMC from non pregnant or pregnant women were treated with 50 µg/ml pSTBM or mSTBM for 20 hours at 37°C. Supernatants were harvested and cytokine production assessed by ELISA for TNFα, IL-6, IL-8, IL-1α, MIP-1α, IP-10 and IL-1β (pg/ml). Values shown are change from mean background production, from 10 non pregnant or 10 pregnant women, standard error in brackets.
