B, The affinity of C•A internal loops with KanHex as a function of thermodynamic stability at different pH’s. ΔΔG037,pH is calculated by taking the difference between the ΔG037,pH=5.5 and ΔG037,pH=7.0. There is no correlation between affinity and the likelihood that a loop forms a C-A+ pair at lower pH.
