Voxelwise (uncorrected) thresholds were first applied at p < .005 for all contrasts except for Spell > Case (p < .0001) and Consts > Chx (p < .01). Voxels were then subjected to cluster size correction for multiple comparisons at p < .05, for all contrasts. Brackets indicate peak activations of the three clusters that make up the extensive Words > Chx activation region.
