Gross Income = approximate gross income ( 1=less than $30,000; 2= $30,000–$50,000; 3= $50,000 – $100,000; 4=greater than $100,000); Length = length of time in months participants were married before the separation; Separation = length of time rounded to the nearest half-month since the participant physically separated from partner; Tobacco = Does the participant use any form of tobacco including smoking cigarettes, pipes or cigars, and chewing tobacco (1=no; 2=yes); High BP = participant medical diagnosis of hypertension (1=no; 2=yes); BMI = body mass index; Anxiety = average attachment anxiety item-score; Verbal Immediacy = composite score of standardized LIWC variables I, discrepancy, present tense verbs, and the inverse score of article and six letter words.
