Western blot analysis of human APP and fly β-actin detected in fly head lysates of: 1) elav; +; + heterozygous flies 2) elav; APP; + heterozygous flies, and 3) elav; APP; BACE heterozygous flies. APP-FL (full length APP, ∼110 kD) and APP-CTFs (C terminal fragments, ∼10–12 kD) were detected using A8717 (Sigma). Red arrows indicate α-CTF (lane 2) and β-CTFs (lane 3).
