(A) MDCK circular colonies were obtained by culturing the cells in a circular pattern. A second cell type (ARPE-19) was seeded resulting in a co-culture of the two cells types in a circular pattern. (B and C) GFP-labelled ARPE-19 cells were cultured in stripes overnight. A second cell type (non-labelled ARPE-19) was seeded. Cells were then co-cultured overnight (B) or for one week (C) before imaging with fluorescence microscopy. In (B) and (C) Green indicates GFP and blue indicates dapi (cell nuclei). The scale bar for each image is 100-µm wide.
