Pressure ejection of dopamine into the slice as detected with an adjacent voltammetric electrode. The tip of the pipette was secured at a 70 µm distance from the working electrode. First, dopamine was ejected from a pipette into the cortex. The entire assembly was then raised and lowered into the caudate nucleus and the ejection repeated.
