In (d) native NBCe1-B activity was isolated by measuring pHi in sealed pancreatic ducts treated with scrambled (black trace) or IRBIT siRNA (red trace). NBCe1-B was isolated by inhibiting NHE with Ethyl-Isopropyl-Amiloride (EIPA) and following the Na+-dependent and di-isothiocyanostilbene disulfonate (DIDS)-sensitive recovery from an acid load.
