The persistence of ITM. Four cohorts of animals recieved three 0.25-hr training sessions a day with an SI of 0.5 hr. The cohort tested 1 day later failed to exhibit LTM. A separate cohort tested 4 hr after the last training sessions also failed to exhibit any memory. However, the cohorts tested 2 or 3 hr after the last training session, respectively, exhibited ITM. Thus, ITM persisted for 3 hr under these conditions.
