A dairy breed (48.2%) is any animal recorded on the database as one of the following breeds: Beef breeds (50.4%) are any other breeds, the chief amongst them being:
FR (Friesian/Holstein) - 47.1% AA (Angus) - 6.3%
AY (Ayrshire) BB (Belgian Blue) - 2.6%
BS (Brown Swiss) CH (Charolais) - 12.1%
RD (Danish Red) HE (Herford) - 7.7%
GU (Guernsey) LM (Limousin) - 12.1%
JE (Jersey) SI (Simmental) - 7.8%
KE (Kerry) SH (Shorthorn) - 1.8% b
MO (Montbelliarde) - 1.1% SA (Salers)
