Schematic representation of the T-DNA region of the T-DNA binary vector developed for the transformation of safflower. Secretion of the GFP into the apoplast is required for healthy safflower development. Both the GFP and hygromycin CDS regions include a catalase-1 intron to abolish expression in Agrobacterium. The multiple cloning site (MCS) includes unique sequences for digestion by BstEII, SbfI, HindIII, XbaI, XmaI, SmaI, SalI, ClaI, EcoICRI, SacI, Acc65I, Spe1 and EcoRV.
