For the standard procedure, 1 is a 5-mm port below the 12th rib in the posterior axillary line, 2 is a 12-mm port under the subcostal margin in the anterior axillary line, and 3 is a 10-mm port above the iliac crest in the midaxillary line for the laparoscope.
