Long-term transgene expression in murine skeletal muscle transduced with rAAV2. Eight-week-old male C57BL/6 and C57BL/6-SCID mice were injected with 1.4 × 1013 DNA-resistant particles (3.5 × 1010 infectious units) of rAAV-hAAT vector (C-AT). Serum levels of hAAT were measured by ELISA. From week 1 to week 11, each point represents the mean of data from three animals (n = 3), and from week 32 to week 52, each point represents data from two animals (n = 2).
