Protocol for performing MTT assay

Step	Action
1	Plate cells at 1,000–100,000 per well
2	Incubate for 6–24 h
3	Add 10 μl MTT reagent
4	Incubate for 2–4 h until purple precipitate is visible.
5	Add 100 μl detergent reagent
6	Leave at room temperature in the dark for 2 h
7	Record absorbance at 570 nm
