Depletion of VEGF inhibits hypoxia-induced cPLA₂ phosphorylation in retinal ECs. After exposure to 75% oxygen from P7 to P12, mice pups were returned to normoxia and administered 1 μg/0.5 μl scrambled (Scr) or VEGF siRNA at P12 and P13 by intravitreal injections. At P15, mice pups were sacrificed, eyes were enucleated and fixed, and cross-sections were prepared and analyzed by double immunofluorescence staining for pcPLA₂ along with CD31 as described under “Materials and Methods.”
