Analysis of the reaction products generated by CtXyl5A from arabinoxylan. Rye arabinoxylan was incubated with CtXyl5A until the reaction was complete, and the products were purified by size exclusion chromatography. Fraction 1 contained the most abundant oligosaccharides. A shows the MALDI-TOF MS analysis of permethylated and NaBH4-reduced oligosaccharides in fraction 1. Molecules that contained exclusively pentaose sugars are labeled Pen with the DP in subscript.
