CAR peptide accumulates in SU5416/hypoxia-induced PAH lesions. PAH was induced in rats by a single s.c. injection of SU5416 and 3-week exposure to hypoxia (10% O2) followed by 6 weeks of normoxia.13 CAR was accumulated in remodeled pulmonary arteries (A: medial wall thickening and C: occlusive neointimal formation).
